The Volkswagen Golf24 race car was entered in the 2011 24 Hours Nurburgring to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the Golf GTI. This car featured race-spec modifications including a front-mounted 440hp inline 5-cylinder turbocharged engine, 4WD powertrain, and a dynamic form with fender flares and a rear wing. Three of them were entered and they drew much attention during the race. The iconic German hatchback is fitted to Tamiya's proven and easy to assemble TT-01 Type-E chassis which is ideal for hobbyists who enjoy building on-road touring car kits.
